How long should Garmin software update take? ›

The Garmin Connect™ app will download software updates automatically behind the scenes while your device is connected to the Garmin Connect app on your mobile phone. There are no further steps required for you to obtain the latest software. Generally, updates will take up to a few days to download to your device.
