There's no doubt that Dakota Johnson is a fashion superstar.
Since her "Fifty Shades of Grey" days in 2015, the actor has been wearing showstopping looks both on the red carpet and off.
And that's not to mention how many of her best outfits have been extremely bold, from gowns with plunging necklines to a see-through catsuit at the Met Gala.
So here's a look at some of the outfits she's sported so far this year, ranked from least to most daring.

Dakota Johnson kicked off 2024 in a comfortable, relatable outfit.
She was photographed in New York City wearing bootcut jeans, chunky black shoes, a black leather trench coat, and a gray sweatshirt underneath.
Though the outfit wasn't daring, it was a quintessential New York look. She completed it with orange-tinted sunglasses, a $4,980 suede Gucci bag, and gold hoop earrings.

During another New York outing, the actor opted for a business-style outfit.
She stepped out in a Rebecca Vallance suit that was gray with pinstripes and worn with a black tank top underneath.
It was far from Johnson's boldest look this year, but it was extremely chic. She paired it with black Bottega Veneta pumps, brown sunglasses, and a $15,200 yellow-gold necklace from Sidney Garber.

She tried out a vibrant accessory in late January.
While in New York City that month, Johnson sported a Loewe coat, classic blue jeans, a maroon top, $1,490 zip-up boots from The Row, and a $3,100 Bottega Veneta handbag.
But the most fun part of her outfit was the bright-green scarf she wrapped around her head.

Johnson experimented with the "Mob Wife" aesthetic a few days later.
She was photographed in New York City wearing a statement coat crafted from brown shearling fur that perfectly aligns with the "mob wife" fashion trend. The Toteme piece retails for $4,800.
She also wore white skinny jeans, black sunglasses, and the same boots from The Row she sported days earlier.

She wore one of her first daring looks of the year while appearing on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."
She appeared on the show wearing a black strapless minidress from Wardrobe NYC that costs $1,250, semi-sheer black tights, and pointed pumps with thin ankle straps.
Not only was her short dress a bold choice, but so was her diamond necklace from Belperron. As the brand wrote on Instagram, the jewelry featured a light-yellow diamond weighing 65 carats.
Similar pieces listed on the Belperron website are valued between $121,000 and $145,000 each.

She continued to wear adventurous styles while promoting her new movie, "Madame Web," overseas.
For an event in London, Johnson chose a black two-piece set from Versace. It included a cropped blazer with a plunging neckline and a mid-rise pencil skirt that dipped past her knees.
To complete the outfit, Johnson wore delicate rings and the same pair of Bottega Veneta heels she wore in New York.

Johnson proved she isn't afraid of the "naked" trend, even in the middle of winter.
While in New York City in early February, she was photographed wearing a knit maxi dress from Tom Ford. A white version of the gown retails for $2,990.
She wore the see-through garment with a black bodysuit and thigh-high leather boots from Bottega Veneta.
Johnson also kept warm with a leather Gucci jacket and added two pops of color via a red Gucci purse and matching sunglasses.

She later showed her affinity for plunging necklines at a "Madame Web" event in Mexico City.
Designed by Luis Estévez, Johnson's vintage gown was made from red satin and featured a V-shaped neckline that extended to her stomach.
She paired the bold dress with layered necklaces and red bracelets, and styled her hair in loose waves that contrasted with the gown's straight pleated lines.

Johnson went with a see-through look once again to attend a "Saturday Night Live" after-party.
Her vintage Alaïa gown was entirely see-through, sleeveless, and featured a black stripe design. Johnson wore it with only black underwear and a feathered YSL shawl across her chest.

Gucci custom-made her chain-mail dress, which gave the illusion that she was naked aside from the crystal links draped across her body.
It was also bold thanks to its sleeveless design and plunging neckline, which nearly reached her waist. For jewelry, she wore a mix of diamond rings and a statement choker.
